Front End Engineer – Shape the Future of AI-Powered User Experiences at Akeleon

About the Role:

We’re seeking a highly motivated and skilled Front End Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll be a key player in crafting intuitive and engaging user interfaces for AI-powered applications, working alongside a team of talented engineers, designers, and AI specialists. This is a chance to contribute directly to projects that are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with AI. You will be transforming complex AI concepts into user-friendly and visually appealing experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and Maintain: Develop and maintain high-quality, responsive, and interactive web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js – specify your preferred framework if you have one).
• Collaborate: Work closely with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and AI specialists to translate designs and requirements into seamless, user-friendly front-end implementations.
• Optimize: Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and responsiveness of web applications across various devices and browsers.
• Integrate: Integrate front-end applications with backend services and APIs (RESTful APIs, GraphQL a plus).
• Code Quality: Write clean, well-documented, and testable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Stay Current: Continuously learn and stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies, trends, and best practices, particularly as they relate to AI-driven applications.
• Problem Solve: Troubleshoot and debug front-end issues, ensuring a smooth and reliable user experience.
• Version Control: Utilize Git for version control and collaborative development.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years of professional experience as a Front End Developer (or similar role) building and deploying web applications.
• JavaScript Expertise: Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.
• Framework Proficiency: Proven experience with at least one modern JavaScript framework (React, Angular, or Vue.js) – Strong experience with React is highly preferred.
• API Integration: Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling. Experience with GraphQL is a plus.
• Cross-Browser Compatibility: Deep understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and effective solutions.
• Testing: Experience with front-end testing frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Cypress, Storybook) is a strong plus.
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git.
